I am a danish secondary school teacher and philosopher of education who advocates for conscious reasoning. I do so through poetic philosophical art.
I started painting and writing as a curious arrogant child. I have always had a stubborn belief in my own ability to interpret and understand. This view stands today - "complex" is by no means an acceptable explanation for anything.
I believe in a search for methods to accept life's challenges and ambiguity, as well as searching for rootedness and meaning. On that note, my art reflects a human nature that makes mistakes and takes chances, a nature that mixes colours and knows very little about straight lines. It is a poetic philosophical essence of existence - my understanding, confusion and eternal drive.
It is a chaos of possibilities and the illumination of the choices I make, the truth I know and the freedom I use.

Mental health - I believe that mental health is the foundation of human well-being. I dedicate a minimum of 15% profit to the Danish Psychiatry Foundation

Pontoppidan Art offers unique paintings created from oil on linen canvas for lasting quality and expression, and written philosophical and poetic artworks that are handwritten on Italian handmade paper. To represent the originals, I also offer art prints, all photographed in natural light and printed on sustainable paper.
